Synchronized skating teams consist of 8 - 20 athletes performing on the ice together. The athletes cross-train off ice using ballet, pilates, aerobic activities and weight training. Teams train on ice to perfect their competition program, skating skills, jumps, and spins. Athletes compete together as one unit, performing a program that combines the artistry of ice dancing with the speed and excitement of freestyle. The top teams travel throughout the country and to international competitions around the world.

Teams purchase coordinated on-ice training wear such as leotards, dresses, skirts, tights, sweatshirts and sweaters; coordinated off-ice training wear such as shorts, t-shirts, tennis shoes and warm-ups.
